Rules of Hardcore
1) Be tough at all times.
2) Never cheer after a show, only clap.
3) Be open minded in a "punch people" kind of way
4) Only the good hardcore bands have names that are sentences with bad grammar. Boy Hits Car, Boy Sets Fire, Skycamefalling, Boy Sets Car-fire.
5) Ankles are tough so bring your socks down into your shoes so we can see them.
6) Tattoos are tough especially when they are on your calves. See Rule 5 on how to see said tattoo more clearly.
7) Wear your hoody in the mosh pit because sweating like a wild pig makes you look tough.
8) Don't admit you listen to punk.
9) Be a non-conformist, just like all your friends.
10) Practice hardcore dancing in front of your mirror and then try them out the next time Atreyu comes to town.
11) A hardcore band is only original if you call it something-core. Example Screamcore, emocore, Screamocore, mathcore, or Medio-core.
12) Remember, it's fun to punch and kick kung fu style.
13) Real hardcore fans are called kids.
14) Have your own zine, website, production company or be in a band. Claim you are friends with the singer from I Killed The Prom Queen.
15) Tell people you work in the music industry.
16) More Ankles people!
17) Embrace everybody in the scene except for those people who are not you.
18) Refer to bands as old school or new school then act tough again.
19) Pretend that you get Dillinger Escape plan.
20) Shop at second hand stores and then go buy expensive shoes.
21) Smoking and drinking and having sex before marriage is too trendy. Real hardcore tough guys abstain.
22) Whatever you do, don't let the singer on stage ever sing in the mic. Make sure you grab it from him and sing in it yourself, after all, you do a better job singing then him. It's a wonder they didn't put you on the album.
23) Start your own hardcore band that are really just an emo band.
24) Have your logo resemble some random 80's product for nostalgia.
25) Talk about the scene any chance you get. Say as many obscure hardcore bands from NJ as possible.
26) People who know more bands than you are better than you.
27) Add the Letter X before and after important words. XhardcorekidX XmoshfuckX
28) Never say "Did you hear the new Strung Out?" Unless you are attempting to be funny in which case stop it because hardcore kids are tough not funny.
29) It's merch not Merchandise.
30) Hardcore girls must wear head bands at all times.
31) When people ask you if you like a band always say "I only like the old stuff" or "I haven't really gotten into the new stuff."
32) Buy all of that bands merch.
33) Wear your new merch at the next hardcore show.
34) Repeat steps 32 and 33
35) Don't tell anybody but make sure you try on your new vintage clothes and stud belt before heading out to see Poison the well.
36) Never admit you don't like The Used and go see them live 12 times a year.
37) Complain that they are playing with Saves the Day but don't admit you actually like Saves the Day.
38) Complain at all costs.
39) Tag team hardcore dancing is cool
40) Real hardcore kids are really struggling photographers.
41) You don't go to hardcore concerts, you go to hardcore shows. BIG difference.
42) Name your hardcore dance moves things like "The mother fuck" or "kick that guys ass move"
43) Protect your body from swinging limbs by sacrificing your two arms.
44) All age venues are important so you are not tempted to drink.
45) Claim you know a guy who knows a guy whose best friend was standing next to the guy who got his ass kicked during Converge.
46) Anytime somebody mentions a band ALWAYS say you know somebody in the band.
47) Wear your pins with honour! Shai Hulud, American Nightmare, Minor Threat and the purple heart of valour.
48) Velcro shoes are cool.
49) Don't admit that you have a crush on the singer from Walls of Jericho. If somebody asks, say you respect her as a musician only.
50) Your band name should contain one of the following words: Blood, Murder, Kill, Victim and butterfly.
51) Print your band name as if it was on a bad printing press. Actual graphics are for posers.
52) 100 bands from around the world to play in your city. All of them are the world's best hardcore bands. Every label represented, every hardcore genre present. The venue is the best all-ages venue in the world. Tickets are $1.00. It is your job to go around saying the festival should be free.
53) When the band starts playing everybody join hands and make a big circle so we can watch the big kids play.
54) Complain some more.
55) Album covers must be made at home on Photoshop by your good friend.
56) NEVER smile in a promo pic. In fact always try to cross your arms and look into the camera as if you are going to beat up whom ever is looking.
57) And the Rest of the band should NEVER smile in a promo pic either. In fact try to look like you just lost your girl friend to that singer guy.
58) Australian idol is your worst enemy. (But you voted for Guy)
59) You can get away with glitter on your face as long as your stretched ear plugs are clear.

You know what? I was starting to think it was my fault I was doing so badly in History. Was I not listening? Was I just slow and stupid? Could Fletcher really be that bad at teaching?
Today made me feel good.
I'm not dumb. We had a relief today and he taught us and I understood everything he said, and so did the entire class. Sarah and I walked out and said 'wow... I know what was going on. I could tell you about the Imperial Way Faction and the Control Faction! And I would actually know what I was talking about!'
We need a new History teacher.. preferably Mr. Miller-Taite.... even if he is Canadian.
What was even better?
He told Jamie-lee to shutup. Made my day xD
So yes... I learned something in History today, and it makes me happy and secure that I haven't had to come home and ask myself 'now... what the hell was Fletch on about today?'

You used to watch his show, and stare in horror as he picked up a deadly snake or wrestle some croc with his bare hands. Every episode you would say 'He's going to kill himself, he'll get bitten, he'll die', but he never did, so then subconciously, you thought he must have been invincible or something. He couldn't die, he would have by now, surely.
Maybe thats why I still can't believe he's dead.

I. Am. Exhausted.
I had an awesome weekend, though.
Friday - I missed out on school all day (YES!!!) to go to the Big Barbershop Day Out workshop where Glitta (you all know what Glitta is, don't you?) and all the other little rich schools sung together with the conductor of the Perth Harmony Chorus coaching us. We got there, ate really good cake and had orange juice, then went in and did a whole heap of singing.. and Aimee (the choreographer) made us MOVE! It was terrible xD So we learnt moves to the song inspired by Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds and then we all went home.
Then I went to Cam's for a couple of hours before going home to get ready for my solo, which he was also playing in. So I got a lift home and said 'See you in half an hour!' and went inside, got changed into a very glittery top, and left for my solo.
I was last to play out of 13 people, so I sat there getting more and more nervous as time went by. Then I looked at my chair and saw that it was *covered* in glitter, as was Cameron and Sarah. (note to self: don't wear glittery tops)
My grandparents just got here... random. I didn't know they were coming *looks out the window*.... Cam's coming over too... *keeps looking*
Anyway. I played last out of everyone, and stuffed up the start, but I ended up getting second place out of 13, so I'm happy. And now you have something to work towards Cameron xD I might even let you hold my award sometime... Sorry, I'll stop....
So then after the solo, I went to Cameron's and played his clarinet and his saxophone, before ditching his sax because the octave ket is dumb and the low notes bubble... then I played My Heart Will go On, and When the Saints on his clarinet, and my sax. Good times.
Then I went home. Then I woke up. Then I went to St. Mary's Catholic School to do our concert which we had been practising for all day on Friday. So we practised all day then we had a concert at 7:30. I sang in the Barbershop Quartet for the first time ever infront of about 200 people.. maybe more... which was scary. I love stage lights though, I couldnt see anything but the front row xD So yes, hugeass concert at a richass school.

Soooo. I havent done an entry in like..3 weeks so I shall do one now.
Here's the stuff in my life in..topics I guess..
Music: Nothing interesting that I can think of...I had my saxophone lesson after breaking down in tears the week before because Mr. King pressured me too much. I crack under pressure, really easily. I was playing a song for a test piece that wasn't up to my personal standard (which is very high in Music) and thinking about it, I didnt play it that badly but I got all stressed out and broke down in tears. Poor Mr. King..he was like 'Oh god..Becc's crying *runs off for tissues*'
In class music we had to arrange a song and perform it. My group, with Sarah and Gillian was by far the best. Oh so modest..but seriously, it was the best out of all three songs.
In band: we had the Anzac assembly and it was boring as hell. I performed in Voice Works too 'I Still Call Australia Home' it was pretty good and everyone clapped for us. It was funny. You aren't allowed to clap at Anzac ceremony's.

I am going to Mrs. Randalls house with the rest of Glitta (Young Women in Harmony) for a Spa Party on the 24th. I'm scared. xD
School: I got 5/10 in my Economics test. I'm so happy. I wasn't the bottom of the class, so I am really happy with myself *grins*
It's school HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!! *runs around madly* No school for 2 WHOLE WEEKS
Other than that, school is boring...

Update:
I have a sore throat, the early sign of a cold (or lukemia - but I have chemo in my sleep anyway xD. Ignore me..we are learning about Cancer in Human Biol..and Kat has...theries as to why my hair falls out)

I still hate school - I should skip one day..not. *halo halo halo*
Birthday was really nice, and I got a wecam and mic *dances* now I can talk to you and you can see me all at once. Actually...I pity you.
We went out for Chinese and the person who was waiting the table was a crack up. She had us in tears at one point. So that was nice, then she gave me a free fried ice-cream (with a candle and everything xD)and everyone else got chocolates. It was good
I'm trying to figure out what to do about Cameron...I mean...Sineada will hunt me down and murder me if she finds out I like him. I do value my life somewhat =P Yeah.

Yay, good day today. Everything was good, and nothing was bad. Don't you just love it?
It started out with my mum nearly fainting as I emerged from my room at 9am! Yes, that's right..I got up before lunchtime...on a weekend! I had 10 hours sleep, so I haven't been tired all day as opposed to my normal inability to keep my eyes open. Generally better mood if I'm not all tired.
So anyway, got up..got dressed. Aunty rang, and also nearly fainted because I was up before lunch. She said she has been given a copy of Photo Shop, absolutely free as the person who has it (is stupid) can't use it. So I am all happy about that.
Then quite randomly, I made myself look all pretty. I have no idea why...because my only intention for the day was going on the net. So I have been sitting at the computer all day, with my pretty top and and my dress jeans, and my make-up all nice. Yes, I do realise I am weird. xD
On the net: Talked to Ang ALL DAY. It was good, longest convo I think I have ever had with anyone. A good 6 or more hours of quite constant chatting. RP'd all day..and then mum kicked me off. With good reason I guess. But she has gone to bed so of course, what else do you expect but for me to be online?
Anyway, once I got off the net, I went in to mums room and we were just talking. I can't remember how we got onto the conversation, but we were talking about typing on computers. She can't type to save her life, and I can touch type. So then I was just randomly pretending to type stuff on an imaginary keyboard I had on mum's bed. What was sad was that if I pressed the wrong button (the wrong one in my mind that is) I actually ended up hitting the imaginary backspace button. Mum was cracking up laughing, and told me she would love to see me play air-guitar. xD
Then we were talking about travelling the world. We got an atlas out and were looking through it to see what places looked good. So yeah, we have planned a trip around the world that isn't going to happen. But it was fun to do anyway. Here is where we are going.

Cape Foulwind - in NZ..'cause I am immature and was all like aahahah! Foul Wind. Get it? huh? huh?
Rio De Jeniro (or how ever you spell it) - Cause I sang a song about it in choir in yr 9 It went something like. 'Maria from old Bahia, though we never can agree-a. Don't matter at all to me-a, as long as you sing a song! I long for Rio De Jeniro! Sao! Paulo! Rio De Jeniro!'...most horribly annoying song ever.
California - California here we come! OC..duh
Arizona - to see the Grand Canyon
Spain - to see the Spanish Riding School (something I have wanted to do since I was like...5)
Thailand - to ride the Elephants
Sweden - 'cause we have Swedish ancestors
Romania -'Casue that's were the dragons come from!
Italy - Cause mum insisted
Lithuania - 'cause neither of us have ever even *heard* of it before..it's near Russia
Canada - For a very long time...'cause I want to have a Canadian accent. They are the coolest xD
and...I will stop now...cause the list goes on and on and on. But yeah. It was great fun.
Now, my brother has 2 of his friends over and they are asleep in the lounge..about 4 metres away from me. One of them is snoring..and one of them is about to die soon if they don't shutup. Snoring is the most irritating sound *ever*
Anyway, that was my day, and now I am patiently waiting for people to come online so I can RP with them. Eg: Ang, or Cassie. Or both. Either way I don't mind.
My god. It is my birthday tomorrow, I have just realised it's past midnight. I think it's going to be cold on my B'day..normally I am in summer PJ's and hot..tonight I am like..in normal clothes and a big jumper and I'm still cold. wtf.
Wow, I wrote alot.
